If you do good work, you should be able to see whether Google is putting your pages in front of people.
Search Console now has dedicated reports for generative AI features in Search and Discover. Google says the reports show impressions and pages. You can filter by country, while device reporting is available for Search. The date view tracks changes over time. As of August 31, 2026, those reports are available to websites worldwide.
That does not tell you whether an impression became a phone call or a sale. It does give you something better than a shrug: a record of which pages appeared and when.
What the New Report Can Tell You
Start with the pages report. Which pages from your site appeared in AI Overviews or AI Mode? Then look at dates and countries. You can compare what changed over time without pretending one chart explains the full path from impression to customer.
An impression is visibility, not proof of revenue. Search Console cannot tell you what every customer thought before calling. It can show whether your own URLs appeared in Google's generative AI features. That is a useful baseline.
The old ranking report still matters too. AI features did not erase regular search results, Maps, or the local pack. You need a wider dashboard now, not a funeral for the old one.
Cloudflare Lets Publishers Separate Search from Training
Cloudflare is drawing another line that matters. Its Content Signals Policy lets a publisher say search=yes, ai-train=no. In September, Cloudflare also announced a setting designed to keep a site indexed for search while refusing AI training by mixed-use crawlers.
A site owner can allow search discovery and separately state that the same content should not be used for AI training.
These controls are instructions to crawlers, and the companies operating those crawlers still have to honor them. Cloudflare says major crawler operators already honor the setting or have committed to do so within a stated time frame.
What You Can Do Today
Open the generative AI report in Search Console and record your baseline. Keep your Google Business Profile accurate. Make sure the pages about your services answer real customer questions in plain language.
Then check whether those pages are easy for a machine to read. Good work should not disappear because the website hid the business facts in a fog bank.
Run Your Free Page Check
I built a free tool that reads one page from your site and checks 14 structural signals, including headings, business schema, contact information, response time, and image alt text. It does not query Google or test whether an AI answer names your business. It shows what your page gives a machine to read.
Run My Free Check and use code VETTA20 for 20% off your first month if you want us to handle the climb. We've got tiers that fit: Handle My Visibility $197, Handle My Content $497, Handle Everything $997. Start with the free check and fix the page facts first.
